darn it, i was about to send my post and it was eaten by the blog monster....

anyway...here comes the condensed version of what i was going to say. a glimmer of hope arrived today in the situation with my parents...it came in the form of a gold medal. i got it in the mail today from UIL for being an outstanding performer at TSSEC. apparently this is a big honor, and indeed i am honored...and confused...because i made an awful lot of mistakes during my TSSEC performance...but honored nonetheless. my mom told me about it when i was at lunch with drumline crew. she sounded proud. i think that's a step. maybe i'm wrong, you know? maybe she does see who i am and love me for that. only time will tell.

drumline meeting was fun today. the drumroom will look soooo cool when we're done with it. even cooler with all those nifty light drums in the slots...man...they're beautiful!

i've been thinking...got to get mr. j good at perc. jam next year...we will be his first class to have had all four years of h.s...any ideas?
