right now i have a love-hate relationship with my english class. i love what we're talking about right now, about existentialism, it's fascinating, how people can exist with so little hope. fascinating and depressing, when i read statements like "god is dead, god is empty", it fills me up with some emotion that i can't explain. i mean, i guess i could understand the alienation from everything, even from god sometimes. but god never alienates us from him, we alienate ourselves from him. it's something within our control. or i suppose that's how i've always seen it. maybe this is just me being naive...but how do people get along without god? without the relief he provides?

the hate part comes in when i'd like to shut my brain off. so i can sleep. and sleep won't come because english has got me thinking and i can't stop and my brain is spinning round and round and round...yeah. then i hate it.

and i hate it that people are so ignorant. lately in euro. history ap we've been talking about the protestant reformation. and it bugs me that people think that just because i'm catholic and i attend catholic services that i believe every word of their faith, that i'm a hardcore catholic, that i believe every protestant is going to hell. let it be known that it isn't true. i'm trying to go through everything right now, sort it out, see what i do believe and what i don't. and i understand that people are just trying to understand catholicism. i'm not the best person to ask though. don't take offense. it's just a touchy subject. because i'm tired of people assuming things that aren't true...
