well. parade was...um, interesting. i went early to help set up the senior float, which was...less impressive than i had expected it to be, but hey, it's all good, i don't care that much anyway. (as one of the girls helping also said, it was "the epitome of white trash"...) so i go to my van to put on my uniform and get my drum, where i discover something startling...the side panel of my shaggin'-wagon has been ripped off. how did this happen? well, apparently the trailer carrying the sousaphones scraped my van, and one of the pit mommies saw it and took down the license plate #, which made its way to liz, who wrote it down for me. so by the time i find out someone hit my car, the whole drumline knows, and i'm freaking out and crying and whatnot. yeah. it was fun. (oh...yeah...the trailer-carrying person did not leave any info for me. according to pit mommy, she doesn't think he knows he did it. well, is he in for a shock...) other than all of this mess, i thought the parade went well.
in other news, i've decided that homecoming is a waste of my time. i can't come up with a single good reason why i would blow at least $30 to spend on a mum for some pimply teenage boy who most likely wouldn't even appreciate my efforts. it's sickening. who came up with the mum idea, anyway? probably the craft people who thought they could make money off of rich spoiled brats like us. just like it was the candy industry that invented halloween and the flower industry that invented valentine's day. geez. commercialism. fun stuff.
or maybe it's just that i'm bitter about my "un-date" status. meh!
