ahhhh. yay for three-day weekends. :-) going to starbucks in a while to work on research paper. after that who knows what i'm doing. who cares either...the important thing is i'm not at SCHOOL!!

two months and three days until my senior recital. i'm already a little nervous about it. i know i'll be ready by then, but it's just scary, because i'm nowhere near ready for this right now. i'm playing (in case anybody cares): beethoven sonata pathetique (I, II, and III) followed by intermission, and then an arrangement i come up with (hehehe, my secret...), then brahms intermezzo no. 2 from opus 118, then finally gerswin piano preludes (I, II, and III). pretty crazy. really pretty crazy.

question, because i'm just curious...would it be a fashion faux pas for me to wear black to prom? i've really grown quite disillusioned with big poofy dresses in ridiculous springy colors. right now i want something simple, elegant. and i have it. it's a black dress with gorgeous gold embroidery around the neckline and down the back. my mom bought it for me for banquet, but i have another dress i bought a long time ago and never wore that could definately work for "band prom" (i hate that name...). so i don't know what i'm going to do. i mean, i know people wear black to prom, and i think i could pull the black off, but i just don't know about this yet...
