i like jen's idea of writing a story and posting it on my blog, so here goes, at least until i get tired of it...this is kinda about me and kinda not, a cross between fiction and autobiography...we'll see how it goes.
i am in limbo. you know, that hellhole between the microsecond you graduate from high school and the first step you take onto your college campus in the fall. limbo. a time where everything seems strangely out of place, especially yourself, your body, your mind. you're definately out of high school and eager to disassociate yourself from all things of the past, but you're not immersed in college yet, not quite ready (though you proclaim yourself to be) to tackle the problems living by oneself can bring. yeah. that's where i am. ready to make new friends but hesitant to discard my old ones (make new friends, but keep the old...one is silver and the other's gold). ready to start a new life but desperate to keep parts of my old life like i'm desperate to keep this ratty teddy bear called teddy (how original) that my great-aunt ruthie gave to me when i was three days old. i don't remember my great-aunt ruthie other than her annoyingly sweet baby powder smell but i want to keep this bear. i don't even remember all the good times with my friends but i want them all anyway to store in the photo album/abyss of my mind until the pages yellow and fade and the pictures corrode and lose their color, their irridescent shine.
i guess this isn't even much of a story yet but we'll see...toodles!
