packing up your room is a scary thing. mine is almost bare now, all the posters are off the walls, the books off the shelves, the clothes out of the drawers. it looks like some evil demonic thing came in and stripped my room of any personal touch i've given it over the years. kinda wierd. the walls are blindingly white. almost makes me cry just looking at them. i've come to the conclusion that i'm very excited about being in Austin but not so excited about everything i have to leave behind to get there. don't worry though, i'll blog. i promise. not like i'll have anything better to do. ;-) well. kinda, anyway.
i'm not sure if i'll post tomorrow since i have to pack up the comp. sometime, so here are my parting thoughts, at least in part because i'm tired and it's rather late...if this looks familiar it's because i wrote it and posted it on my blog a really long time ago. i'm quite proud of it - i showed it to langford at the end of the year in a parting letter i wrote her and she wrote me back, the first thing she said to me was "OH MY GOD!!" lol. so i guess that means it's all right. gotta love k-lang. anyways...
to fly upon the wings of eagles gold
and ponder life in technicolor dreams
as in the air you gaze on days of old
is everything as perfect as it seems?
to swim within a sea or mercy deep
and in the blue recall a moment when
the flame of youth that you had longed to keep
dissolved into the silence way back then
to stare into the future's blackened sky
as timid stars poke through and flicker bright
and see the comet shoot and lightning fly
believe that love will get you through the night
then every dream is vivid as the sun
and you realize your life has just begun
