times change, and people change, but have i changed so much that i don't expect things to remain the same? they say the only thing that stays the same is everything changes. everything changes, but everything stays the same. sometimes you think things have changed and people have changed but they've been the same all along. other times you think things are the same and people are the same when in reality they've changed and you don't even know it. but even if things stay the same, they're always changing. at varying speeds and varying times, but always changing. because that's the way the world works. i'm older than i used to be. that's a change. i'm more wise in the ways of the world than i used to be. that's another change. i think these are all good changes. sometimes things and people change in good ways. other times things and people change in not so good ways. but regardless of whether or not things, times, or people change, whether they change for the good or the bad, they're always the same, and in that sameness you find the power, the grace, somehow, to forgive.
