ka-ching!

worked my first 45 minutes at nine west today filling out ridiculous amounts of paperwork. seriously. all these stupid forms... geesh... but hey, at least i got paid. (hence the ka-ching)

you know what kicks arse? two frickin days until i'm back in austin and that much closer to seeing my sweetie :-) i tell you what, though, it's not nearly as bad here as i thought i would be when i first came home. yeah, i've had waaaaay too much downtime, but in all the job-hunting and catching up with friends i've been doing i've learned a lot about myself and about others. people i hardly talked to at all over the past year suddenly i'm having 5 hour conversations with. it's kinda nice. we are the ones that came back to southlake trying to salvage what's left of our lives here. the few. the proud. :-)

and, in other news, i just realized that may 29th 2004 is my 2-year blogiversary, so happy birthday to "so impossible". much thanks to l-mart, one of the reasons i started this blog in the first place, and to everyone who, at least partially because of me, decided to start their own blogs. you guys rule. this thing has been an integral part of my life for the past two years, and i plan wholeheartedly to keep on bloggin'. yeah. rock on!
