whatever tickles your pickle

sorry about the title...

last few days have been ab-fab. liz came in town for the weekend which was waaaay cool because it just so happens that i didn't have to work at all this weekend. went into arlington sat. night for a friend's house-warming party which was pretty cool. it's strange the people i've ended up hanging out with this summer-never would've thought it would happen, but it did, and i'm pretty happy about it because they're fun people to be around. yay for older carroll band alums. or something like that. :-)

then yesterday we went to the lake-i got to go waterskiing which i haven't done in years. i'm so sore today but it was absolutely awesome and totally worth the soreness and the sunburn. hope to go again soon?

and today i've sat around, rekindled my love for the sims, bought a $4 pair of shoes at old navy and revamped my makeup collection at ulta for ultra cheap, and hopefully later tonite more hanging out ensues. plus tomorrow i'm going out for coffee with a lady who lives in southlake who's a music therapist and we're going to talk about whether or not it's a good career choice for me.

i feel good. i realized last night that there are people who read this blog that would give almost anything to be living in southlake right now, so i'm going to stop complaining about living here because really, it's not that bad. and i'm going to make my last two weeks here roxor before school starts again. i have direction. i have purpose.

or at least a really cute pair of cheap shoes.
