life update

i post a lot of crap on here without actually sayng how my life's going sometimes. so for the record, it's going really quite well. getting ready for the holidays.... yay! i love this time of year. have lots to read and write but i'm not stressed really, just pretty busy. on saturday i went to the UT/KU game in kansas which was... interesting. all i can say is i'm very glad we came out of there with a win, and i'm not really even sure we deserved one... but way to go Horns for pulling out. highlights: the techno kickoff song that i have yet to get out of my head, our guys kicking footballs into the KU band (though i kinda felt bad for them), the absolutely AMAZING weather up there... just cool and sunny, no crappy rain like we have here. yeah. it was fun.

then sunday i had orientation advisor selection session. if i get this job i'll be in austin from late may to mid-july at least. i hope i do get it but we'll see. after talking to so many extroverted, fun people that would also be excellent candidates for the job and learning that only about %50 of people who applied will make it... yeah... that's a little disheartening, but i'm keeping my hopes up.

speaking of breaks... during christmas break i'll probably be back in s'lake starting the 15th... later than i wanted due to a music history exam on the FREAKING LAST DAY OF FINALS. thank you scheduling office! i'll be going to a bowl game but it's not looking so hot for a BCS game; the last predictions i saw all said cotton bowl actually. :-( which means no trip anywhere fun (except for presidential inauguration parade in january-maybe?-and if i'm really lucky a skiing trip with UT drumline people... but that is in the beginning stages). then going back around the 15th? i don't know. i'll figure something out. i'll be working at nine west if everything goes according to plan. yay for more shoes!

and i'm not coming back for thanksgiving break. for all of you who were absolutely dying to see me, i'm sorry, but i just can't... i'll have to pencil ya in some other time. :-)
