OA update

so. i've been an OA officially for a little over a week now, with a little under a week until the first batch of freshman show up with impressionable young minds... yikes. i can honestly say though that, with the passing of each day since my last and most lamentable post, things are going better and better. i'm enjoying myself more and running away less. i'm opening my mouth more and being afraid of playing a fool less. in short, i'm becoming more comfortable in my environment. and that makes for one happy stephie. :-)

i think it also helps that i've been working out every day. i ran this morning and it was beautiful-the light cool breeze, the faint glow of the beginnings of a daytime sun, the rush, the aching pain in my right calf-but that was just this morning. if it still hurts tomorrow i guess i might take a day off (!!) but right now i just feel so amazing about myself. mari might have been right all along ;-). i just wish everyone could see how damn good-looking i am right now...

tomorrow is (officially) a month for paul and i. seems like it's been a lot more than that (and unofficially, it kind of has), but i'm incredibly grateful for him and for the great things he's done for me. i think we're going to go out to celebrate tomorrow or tonight (or both? bwahahahaha) with a little madagascar action. oh yes. we do indeed love our pixar animated films. ;-)

on a completely different note, this is really, really sad. my salute to the oasis-damned overpriced food, but the best scenic view in austin, and well worth the drive. rebuild soon. :-(
