a new favorite place

yes, that's right, i found a new favorite studying place today, partially because it's really close to my apartment, partially because of the cheap and GOOD coffee, and partially because of the gorgeous sculpture garden. cafe mundi, people. it's a beautiful thing.

so while i was sitting among these modern-ish steel sculptures, waving at passenger cars on the train tracks that run across the street and semi-studying for my upcoming music history test, i had a revelation: there are people in this world who are too concerned with what could be better in their lives that they miss what the great things they already have. it's a bad idea to date these sort of people because a)they will miss the great things you are for the small things you are not, and b)once you break up, they will still expect you to conform to their personal aspirations for a better life. no more. i won't do it anymore, and i might lose a friend in the process, but will gain my self-respect in return, and that is a far better trade than i once realized...

in other news, seasoned freezer fries and chocolate pudding are amazing.
