it's currently around 25 degrees outside with a little little bit of freezing rain at 9 pm, and the university closed at 2 pm due to "inclement weather" and will open back up at 10 am tomorrow. seriously. how big of a collective wuss ARE we?

i might buy a remo 14" djembe and carrying case used (but in good condition) for $150. i have to go look at it first. i want to start building up my library (both listening and reading) as well as a drum/instrument collection so when i'm a practicing music therapist i have a lot of resources to draw from. that's mainly what i want for christmas, for those interested *winkwink*.

i just watched girl, interrupted with my roommates. i've always wanted to see that movie but never got around to it. it's good. i think what struck me the most about it was the part where they're sitting outside polly's door and singing and playing guitar and it gives her peace when nothing else can... but of course. naturally.

also, that movie makes me want to write again. and it reminds me why i have a blog. yay.
