i'm guessing this will be my last post for a while because i'm leaving in about 12 hours for the green mountain state-i will be back august 13th (almost two full months there!). and my parents are moving while i'm gone, so i'll be going home to a completely new living space, a new set of roommates, a new permenant scenery. i've always thought since i was in college that s'lake was never my home, but driving around the past few days, i realized that i will miss certain parts of it, that it is still, in some way, my home. it's also a little strange to think that my college and home lives are about to collide, but definitely manageable and possibly even desirable for me-i think i'm ready for it.

right now i'm nervous. will i make friends? will this be everything i dreamed it would be? will i get homesick? will i like the food? did i pack enough clothing? what's going to happen to me? will i make a difference? i guess i'll begin to put the puzzle pieces together tomorrow afternoon when i land in albany and meet my new friends for the first time. in the meantime, if you're the praying kind, i wouldn't mind your prayers for strength in the face of what at times feels like insurmountable uncertainty.

is it weird? yes. is it exciting? absolutely, yes.

see you all on the flipside... and send me e-mails: s.kuester@mail.utexas.edu
