whoo finals. i have one tomorrow 2-5 pm and then i'm DONE!!! right now i'm sitting in a non-profit coffeeshop called dominican joe's that gets coffee directly from coffee growers in the dominican republic and all the profit goes to support them. drink coffee, screw the man... seriously, what could be better? (much thanks and love to mari for the tip)

so i'm not sure when i'll be back in southlake. once finals are over, i'll be studying for the GRE which i'm taking jan. 3rd. i didn't think i was going to have to take it - none of the grad schools i'm applying to require it for admission - but then i found out that it's really useful when applying for scholarships, tuition waivers, fellowships, assistantships down the road... so here i go. on any given day before the 3rd, you'll probably find me rehashing geometry concepts and learning the meaning of really, really obscure words that those test writers love to use. that or in san antonio for the alamo bowl - yay... ?.

i ordered the most amazing coat in the world a few days ago and it came in yesterday. i haven't taken any pictures yet, but it's very classic-looking and awesome. christmas presents to myself are fun.

it's 73 degrees outside today. what happened to the cooler, christmas-y weather anyway? it was cold outside when i ordered my coat. karma, i tell you - it sucks.
