i made an important decision saturday. i decided that i'm not going to be a fair weather fan of the longhorns. yes, the UT football team isn't where it should be right now. yes, saturday was an absolute mess and i wanted to leave right after halftime but instead had to endure another two quarters of torture at the hands of bloodthirsty sooner fans. but i love football, and i love UT football, even if it sucks. i am so very glad i came here. i can't imagine myself anywhere else. there are so many positives to where i'm at and what i'm doing that i wake up every morning thanking god that i'm alive and i'm in austin at the university of texas. :-) so that's my sentimental college bit for the day. yes, UT is huge, but it's an amazing place to be...
going home was awesome. i hadn't seen my family in two months and i missed them so much... especially my lil' bro. he's one of my best friends in the whole wide world and i haven't been able to be there for him when he needed a friend and it kills me. mattie, i love you and i'm praying for you!
stephie's gonna be busy busy busy for the next month... this weekend tyler's coming in town, yay tyler! then the weekend after that i'm chillin with my homies in waco for the weekend, which i am VERY excited about... weekend after that is parent's weekend here, so my family will be in town... weekend after that i think i'll be back in s-lake again. i haven't been to a carroll football game, and i want to go because i hear after your freshman year it kind of loses its appeal. plus i want to see the band and say hi and stuff. in a way though i'm a little scared... it's so strange to go home and see that the world you created for yourself in high school has moved on without you. it's a harsh reality when you realize that times and people have changed and your hometown isn't the same and neither are the people and, let's face it, neither are you...
