sex in the bloggie

okay, so this post might be a little on the random side; it's a little late but i'm not so much tired. just made chocolate chip cookies and watched sex in the city with laurel. i've never seen that show before, but i was intrigued by its raw sexual power and prowess-even on TBS where it's supposedly really edited. and of course while i was watching it, since i am extremely sheltered, i was wondering, are there actually people like this out there? women who can sleep with a different guy every weekend and never feel an emotional tie to any of them? people whose attempts to pick up members of the opposite sex are so blatant and at times outrageous that the viewer just sits in shock (well, at least i do) wondering who could acquiesce to someone like that? i'm not saying these people are sluts or easy or anything like that, i just find it fascinating-like studying another culture or something i guess. i mean, most of you know that i made a promise to myself a long time ago to wait on my future husband for my first time, and if you didn't know, well, suprise :-)... but anyway this show kinda laughs in the face of all things abstinential (ya dig that made up word?), so in a way it's like a way that i can learn to understand people better, learn to get inside their heads. in other words, i think i might just keep watching this show. just in case any of you care...

Wake up and smell the coffee. The majority of people you will meet in this life will not wait for their (first) marrage the way you have planned, and if they claim that they will, most of the time they're lying to keep up false pretenses with you. Granted the show is drastic in it's endeavour of portraying a lifestyle centered on the physical aspect of sexual intercourse, but there are actually people who live in such a manner, and they aren't even the worst of the batch.
