sunday, sunday, sunday

i bought my first cd in a while today while visiting wal-mart: switchfoot's "the beautiful letdown", which so far has not been a letdown at all. i admire switchfoot's ability to make the rare jump from christian alt to mainstream, so i thought i'd show my support.

i feel good. i've had a nice relaxing weekend. dinner part-aaay on friday night was a success, despite several setbacks... like the first HUGE bag of rice being infested with little black bugs which was absolutely disgusting. good times (and a whole lot of awesome assorted asian food... like my alliteration?) were had by all in attendance. i was able to get my curtains up in time too!! check it oooooout!!

more links for you: two songs i've been working on, a cover of point of grace's "this day" and one of evanescence's "hello" . i think it's be cool once i complete more covers to compile them into one CD and then it'd be like having my own personal album. :-) next up (i think): a cover of "foolish games" by jewel.

and last but not least, my personal mantra for the week, from switchfoot's "this is your life": yesterday is a wrinkle on your forehead... yesterday is a promise that you've broken... don't close your eyes, this is your life, and today is all that you've got now... today is all you'll ever have...
