in the true spirit of procrastination

... here's a fun little activity (thanks christina): the first sentence of the first post of each month of so impossible for the past year:

1/04: if you've ever needed help understanding that special female, especially during, um, her time of the month, this oughta do the trick.

2/04: the worst part about long-distance relationships is the few minutes right after your significant other leaves and you know that you have the face the daily grind again all by yourself...

3/04: is this how the rest of my life is going to be?

4/04: oh hey... if you're in austin tomorrow nite and don't have anything better to do, you really ought to come watch me perform at the percussion ensemble concert at 8 pm in bates (call or IM or comment for directions!).

(these are boring... hope they get more interesting...)

5/04: weekend=rock.

6/04: yes, that's right, i'm back in s'lake (at least until the drumline clinic saturday).

7/04: ahhhh, good spanish jokes... i am such a dork.

8/04: sorry about the title... last few days have been ab-fab.

9/04: ... it's humbling when you realize that, no matter how smart and invincible you thought you were in high school, you're just as prone as everyone else in college to make really, really stupid mistakes.

10/04: do you hear that?
the deafening silence of two worlds
colliding
crashing
crushing each other
rock on rock and steel on steel
the sounds reverberate into space
for nobody to hear
and nobody to notice then they
die away, leaving the silence,
and the fragments of what was
once whole, to endure.

11/04: ... if you didn't take my last post about voting seriously then don't ignore this one... go out and VOTE for crying out loud!

12/04: i got the orientation advisor job!

1/05: i'm still wondering if this trip i just took was too good to be true...

so yeah, some of these are boring, others are vague, and still others are just plain weird. welcome to my blog. enjoy your stay.
