slow down everyone, you're moving too fast
frames can't catch you when you're moving like that

feeling so random tonight. perhaps it's all the sleep? i've had several coughing fits today but other than that i feel great. still sleeping a lot though. don't want to cough my guts out in DC like i did earlier tonight.
i'm so easy to please, really. just buy me an andy warhol calendar and i'm happy. check out the interactive screenprinting demo. it's amazing. really, that guy was a genius, and i can say that because i've been to an exhibit of his, i've seen many of his works in person in austin, and i thought they were fascinating. look ma, don't i sound cultured?
i am going to be here. i try not to think too often about how lucky i am because it would make my brain explode. really. how on earth do i get to do all this cool stuff?
i think i need to talk to a priest or a minister or something. i have questions. questions like "how would it really hurt the American family structure to have same-sex marriage or same-sex parents?" or "i'm a girl, i have a brain, i can think for myself, so why do i have a lesser place in the church and a subordinate role to men?" or "why has liberalism become such a dirty word among Christians today?" or "are gay people and unbaptized babies and people that aren't saved in your church really going to hell?" i need someone to talk these things out with, verbal spar if i need to, because maybe going to school in austin got to me finally, but i can't just sit back and take what i've been fed from sunday school my entire life anymore. i can't mesh this image of a all-loving, all-nurturing God with one of an intolerant, racist, sexist one. i can't do it. it just kills me. i saw this book today that claimed on its back cover that "gay people have no right to encroach their beliefs on all of us" and that is why we should ban gay unions. it seems to me that said author has it completely backwards... they're not looking to hurt anyone; they're just looking for a legal expression of their emotional love like everyone else. heterosexuals, on the other hand, are desperately trying to encroach their beliefs on other people in an attempt to maintain the status quo. so who's right? the ones pushing for change, for acceptance, for love, for equality? or the ones pushing for discrimination, for traditionalism, for the status quo?
i don't know. i've been thinking about a lot of this lately. leave comments if you want. what on earth is happening to me?
